St. Patrick’s Day is just a week away! As we all know, St. Patricks Day drinks tend to be the main event on this holiday. From cocktail drinks to mixed drinks and all sorts of green alcoholic drinks, we have some affordable and enjoyable drinks that you and your friends can enjoy together on St. Paddy’s Day. Cocktail drinks and mixed drinks for St Patrick’s Day!
The Sparkly Leprechaun Kiss
Ingredients for 1 cocktail:
- 1 ounce of Sour Apple Pucker
- .5 ounces of vodka
- 1 ounce of lemon juice
- .5 ounces of simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar that is heated until combined, then cooled down)
- 1 drop of green food coloring
- 7UP or another lemon/lime soda
- ice
- green sugar, for rimming the glasses
Directions:
Put all the liquid ingredients together (except the soda!) in a shaker and shake to combine. Get the rim of your glasses wet and roll them in the green sugar. Then, put ice in the glasses and pour the shaking liquid mixture over the top. Pour your soda over everything else.
Green Dream Sangria
Ingredients:
- any brand of Pinot Grigio
- 2 cans of lemon/lime soda
- 2 limes
- 2 kiwis peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 green apples thinly slice or 1 cup of sliced green grapes (your choice!)
- 2 sprigs of mint leaves
Directions:
You can either combine all the ingredients and serve immediately, or you can combine the wine and the fruits and allow it to sit. Then, add the soda just prior to serving.
St. Patrick’s Day Mojito
Ingredients for 1 cocktail:
- 1/4 of a lime sliced into a wedge
- 2 sprigs of mint
- one cucumber sliced thin
- 2 teaspoons of finely ground sugar
- 1 cup of crushed ice
- 3/4 cup of fresh honeydew melon juice (this should come from from half of a melon)
- Club soda, ginger ale, or Sprite
- 1 tablespoon of rum
Directions:
Muddle the lime, sugar, and cucumber slices in a highball glass or tumbler. Put ice in your glass, and pour the honeydew melon juice over the top. Top this with the soda of your choice (club soda, ginger ale, sprite, etc.). Then add the rum and stir gently.
