With tomorrow April 22nd being Earth Day, a lot of places are offering freebies. Here’s a few of my favorite:
Target
Target will be continuing their annual tradition by giving out a free reusable shopping bag to their shoppers. Just visit the Guest Service desk to get yours.
Origins
Click here to visit the Origins site and you’ll be able to print the form. Along with it, bring your current skincare (full or empty) to any Origins counter and they’ll trade it for a full-size of one of their gentle, high-performance cleansers.
Disney Stores
According to their site, receive a free reusable shopping bag when you bring 5 plastic shopping bags to any Disney Store to be recycled.
Caribou Coffee
Caribou Coffee announced that they’ll be offering free coffee to all customers who bring in a reusable mug on Earth Day. You can click here for more info
Michaels
Michaels is having a “Earth Day Tote Make-It Take-It” event for kids from 1pm – 3pm. Decorate a trendy tote for Earth Day that you get to keep. Click here for more info
Jo-Ann Fabric And Craft Stores
According to their facebook, the first 50 customers at every Jo-Ann store will receive a free tote bag on Sunday, April 22.
H-E-B Grocery
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, you can visit your nearest H-E-B and drop five plastic shopping bags into the storefront recycling bin. For doing so, you’ll receive a coupon for a free special edition H-E-B Earth Day reusable bag. Click here for more info
Giant Eagle (I can’t test this one, so please let me know if it’s still working)
1st 5,000: Click here to visit the Giant Eagle facebook and enter the 12-digit number on the back of your Giant Eagle Advantage Card. They’ll load a free reusable shopping bag onto your card, so just pick up a bag next time you’re in the store.
Starbucks?
Your mileage may vary on this one. A lot of sites are linking to this page saying that if you bring a travel mug into Starbucks, they’ll give you a free brewed coffee or tea. The only thing is that this page is from 2011 and there doesn’t seem to be any info on 2012. I asked my local Starbucks and they said they’re not participating, but others have called theirs and gotten a different response. I guess to be safe, just call your local Starbucks ahead of time to make sure they’re participating.
